On 21 April 2026, Professor Desmond Dinan of George Mason University and
Ralf Drachenberg, Policy Analyst at the European Parliament, visited SIES and
exchanged views with SIES experts on the topic of “The European Council and
European Integration.” Former President Xu Mingqi introduced the Institute to
the guests. Participants included Professor Dai Bingran, Research Fellow Long
Jing, Professor Men Jing, Professor Song Lilei, Professor Xin Hua, Associate
Researcher Yan Shaohua, Secretary-General Yang Haifeng, Research Fellow Zhang
Yinghong, Associate Professor Zhou Qiujun, and Director Zhu Yichen, among
others.
